Crank test to know the status of the starting system
Crank voltage> 10.5V, discharge performance good, no actions needed Crank voltage 10V ~ 10.5V, discharge performance not bad, need to charge
Cranking voltage 9.6V ~ 9.9V, discharge performance poor, need replace
Cranking voltage <9.6V, discharge performance very poor, need replace ASAP
1). Enter cranking test and start the engine as prompted, tester will automatically complete the test;
2). The tester will display the result including actual cranking voltage and actual cranking time;
3). If the cranking voltage value is lower than 9.6V, the cranking system is regarded as abnormal;
4). When cranking voltage value is higher than 9.6V, the cranking system is OK.
loading test
Charge Test to Know More About Charge Volt
1). Charge Volt: Normal - the generator output is normal, no problem detected; 2). Charging Volt: Low - check the drive belt of the generator and the connection between the generator and battery, or follow the manufacturer's suggestion to eliminate generator faults;
3). Charging Volt: High-replace the generator assembly or a regulator to avoid battery damage;
4). No Volts Output - check the generator connection cable and the belt;
5). Diode Test - there is at least one diode is damaged if ripple volt is too high.
The screen will instruct the technician to press the vehicle accelerator to increase RPM to 2500r/min and keep 2500r/min for 5 seconds, please indicate to the test result, and the result you can reference manual.
Warnings:
Do not place the tester near the engine or exhaust pipe to avoid damage from high temperatures. Do not smoke, cause sparks, or strike games near the battery when testing. Do not remove battery clamps during testing. Do not put the tester into a high damp or dusty environment Do not disassemble the tester
